Clothespins

Pre-K students at Settlement Music School, Germantown Branch are studying Claes Oldenburg's sculptural work (specifically "Clothespin" in Center City Philadelphia) and rehomed his sculpture after considering "scale" and "environment".

Cultural Capital: "Mine is gonna be INSIDE my house, isn't that crazy? They have to go through a tiny grey triangle door to see it." -Abby

Utilitarian: "My clothespin sculpture is gonna be outside in the sun, and the girl can use it to climb up to get all those yellow acorns." -Imani

Ancient Wonder: "This clothespin is in an old jungle, where there are NO animals. It is ginormous."  -Olivia
